Dymax SpeedMask® 706 UV light-curable maskant is formulated to provide excellent surface and cavity protection during machining, acid stripping, and air plasma spray operations, as well as cooling hole protection. The product aids in the manufacturing, overhaul, repair, and rework of turbine engine blades, vanes, and other turbine components.
High-viscosity 706 maskant is a sprayable thixotropic gel designed for easy dispensing and curing automation. The material exhibits high adhesion and protects component substrates such as nickel superalloys and high-temperature steel. This 100% organic resin cures quickly and is easily removed by incineration at a minimum of 650°C [1200°F].
Dymax materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the ideal balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.
