SpeedMask® 724 UV/Visible light-curable maskant provides good surface protection during shot-peening, grit-blasting, powder-coating, and parts-handling operations. The product aids in the manufacture, overhaul, repair, and rework of turbine engine blades, vanes, and other turbine components. It also offers protection during airflow testing of cooling holes on uncoated and coated turbine airfoils.
724 masking compound protects component substrates such as nickel alloys, steel, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, cobalt, ABS, and glass. The medium-viscosity gel material cures quickly and is easily removed by peeling. When properly cured with light energy, the maskant leaves no residue on the surface of the substrates. The product also meets 10993-5 Cytotoxicity approvals.
Dymax materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the ideal balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.
