Light-curable SpeedMask® 731-REV-A maskant offers excellent surface protection of components during vibratory finishing, plating, shot-peening, anodizing, and also aggressive grit-blasting operations. The product helps with the manufacture, overhaul, repair, rework, and surface finishing of metal components used in aerospace engines (turbines, vanes, blades), orthopedic implants, and general masking applications. SpeedMask® 731-REV-A maskant is bright yellow before cure enabling visual confirmation of material placement onto substrates. After cure, the material fluoresces bright yellow under black light for easy quality inspection.
This 100% organic thixotropic gel is sprayable onto components, exhibits high adhesion, and cures quickly. The masking resin is trimmable after cure, is easily peeled off with a hot-water soak, and leaves no residue on surfaces when properly cured. Recommended substrates include nickel alloys, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and cobalt, as well as glass.
Dymax materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the ideal balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.
This maskant is in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EU and ISO 10993-5 Cytoxicity
